Why should I book through a travel agent?

Will I pay more if i book through an agent?

Travel agent can keep things organized, negotiate with services and personally work out any complications that may arise. Agents take the stress out of planning and time that customers might not have, plus that personal touch and peace of mind that comes from working with a travel agent who has your interests heart.

It's a myth that working with a travel agent will automatically cost you more; most get paid via commissions from hotel or outfitter. Sure, some travel agents do charge a fee for putting together an itinerary, but most will credit you that fee if you end up booking the trip through them.

Do I need travel insurance?

Passsports:

Not needed to travel, but its highly recommended. Most coverages include the following but may vary depending on cruise company.

Cruise insurance generally covers the following, up to your policy limits, if the expense is caused by a reason listed in your policy or not excluded from coverage23:

  • Medical expenses

  • Emergency medical evacuation

  • Trip cancellation

  • Trip delay

  • Trip interruption

  • Missed connections

  • Lost, stolen, damaged or delayed baggage and personal items

Cruise coverage is a type of travel insurance that reimburses vacationers when qualifying incidents result in monetary losses due to a cancellation or interruption.

U.S. citizens need a passport when traveling to, or returning from, most foreign countries.
